I have been asked many times what my skin routine is and I thought I would do a post to share what I do!
I will share the products I use for each section below at the very end of this post!
First point I want to make is you need to drink as much water as you can! Staying hydrated is vital to great skin.
In the morning I only use water to wash my face and then use a toner on the skin before moisturising, I try not to use too many products on my face that’s why I will only use a cleanser at the end of the day. I take my makeup off using makeup wipes and then use a cleanser that thoroughly removes everything. I then go over my face with a Clarisonic before moisturising my face.
Finding a great moisturiser for your skin type and using this every morning and night is extremely important. Even if you have oily skin like me it is so important to continue to use hydrating moisturisers and your skin will actually produce excess oil if your skin is dehydrated giving you more of an oily look than normal! I tend to use heavier moisturizers at night as it gives my face time to absorb and repair while I sleep.
I love using face oils especially around the eyes and lashes as it helps keep this area hydrated and cares for lashes. I tend to use face oils only at night as putting them on in the morning will interfere
with my makeup products, also as I wear fake lashes alot the oils I use help keep my real lashes healthy and growing.
As I am going into my thirties I use some anti aging creams in the morning and at night to help with lines and keep my skin supple. If this isn’t an issue for you then keep to the products that your skin needs.
Occasionally I get the bad break out like everyone, and I only use oneproduct listed below – I have used this product ever since I have had a pimple and it has never disappointed me. I only put it on the area I have a breakout and I try and use it as soon as i notice there might be a blemish there as a preventative treatment. It is fast acting so clears up blemishes within 24/48 hours. It does dry the skin but I just moisturise that area more frequently if that is the case until my skin is clear. I try not to pop pimples as that make it worse and can leave scars! Obviously if this isn’t an issue for you stick to what your skin needs.
Lastly depending on your age, skin type, and skin needs getting regular facials is fantastic for your skin to keep it supple, healthy and prevent early aging/ blemishes. Speak to your local skin care professional about what is right for you.
I hope this has been helpful for you, I would love to hear what your favourite products are for the above sections?
Until next time
