Face Oils!

Face oils have been my obssession for a few years now and I’ve tried so many I thought it was time to share my favourites.

Face oils can be used by all skin types even oily skin like myself and aren’t used for the purpose of ‘oiling’ up your skin but rather to hydrate and moisturise and depending on what oil you use for added skin nutrition, anti- aging, anti- scaring etc.

Rosehip Oil

UV rays of the sun can damage the skin, resulting in age spots and discoloration on the face. The antioxidants found in rosehip oil combat free radicals that cause sun damage.

My fave rose hip oil is Trilogy Organic Rosehip Oil

Best applied on damp skin like a serum and then moisturiser on top when dry.

Vitamin A & E

Derma Anti-Wrinkle Vitamin A & E Treatment Oil is a concentrated treatment to moisturize dry, aging, compromised skin. It is a thicker oil and your skin just eats it up! Great keeping the skin hydrated and wrinkle free.

I apply this as a moisturiser after washing my face.

Chia Seed Oil

Sukin Super Greens Nourishing Chia Seed Oil+ is high in Omega and antioxidants. It is a great source of vitamin B3 and zinc, which helps with oily skin and clogged pores. Very light on the skin without feeling oily!

I use this under my moisturiser and it is suitable for all skin types.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil has many benefits both internally and externally, I have many friends with dry skin who use coconut oil on their face as a super hydrating moisturiser.

If you have oily skin like me you can add a few drops to your moisturiser to boost the hydration without making your skin oily.

Best used at night and organic is best on the face.
