I am loving the variety and accessibility of health foods these days. I love that you don’t have to go to ‘health stores’ to get premium health food. With this in mind I am going to share my favourite health food picks!
YoPro Protein Yoghurt:
A high protein, low fat and low carb yoghurt! Delicious and creamy – I have it for breakfast with some overnight oats or on it’s own with seeds and nuts!
Energy: 400kJ/serve or 250kJ/100g
- Protein: 15.5g/serve or 9.5g/100g
- Fat: 0.3g/serve or 0.2g/100g
- Carbs: 7g/serve or 4.5g/100g
- Sugars: 6.5g/serve or 4g/100g
Health Lab Honest Protein Balls:
This company does amazing protein balls – without the nasty stuff! Naturally sweetened and actually tastes like a treat!
Coles Green Smoothie Mix:
This super affordable ($4) bag of green mix is perfection! Kale, kiwifruit, spinach and mango makes the perfect combo for a not so over the top grass tasting green smoothie!
Jerky might not pop into your mind when you think of health foods but it should! Jerky is full of protein! A great snack anytime, although it is high in sodium so if you have high blood pressure I wouldn’t recommend this to you.
